Kathleen M. Stapleton-Gorman, 88, was born on June 20, 1929 in New York City. Kathleen attended Cathedral High School in Manhattan and Hunter College. She was married to George Ulrich Gorman for 47 years before his passing in 2000. Kathleen worked for Wells Fargo in Mercervill­e, NJ as an Office Manager for many years before her retirement.

Kathleen lived a selfless life, always devoting herself to helping others. Serving as a foster parent to numerous children in the past and volunteeri­ng for Meals on Wheels are just a few examples of her work. She was a devoted Catholic, serving as a Eucharisti­c Minister for many years at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting, NJ. Kathleen also loved animals, especially her cat, Princess. She liked to read, play pool, and meet with the Whiting Lunch Bunch often. She was a Hamilton Square, NJ resident prior to moving to Whiting, NJ in 1991 and recently moved to Holts Summit, Missouri where she passed away on July 25, 2017 at the age of 88. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Daughter of the late, Walter and Marguerite Stapleton; she is survived by her four children, Rev. Robert Gorman of Raritan, New Jersey, Michael James Gorman and his wife, Cindy Glukowsky-Gorman, of Holts Summit, Missouri, James Walter Gorman and his wife, Aquatia Owens-Gorman, of New York City and Trisha Ann Gorman-Slaton and her husband, Alan Slaton, of Trenton, New Jersey; five grandchild­ren, Patricia Doyle and her husband, John, Jessica Bijaczyk and her husband, Anthony, James Mulvan, II, Kimberly Gorman, and Joseph Gorman and his wife, Heather; and six great-grandchild­ren, Fiona, Chelsea, Aubrianna, Julian, Sienna, and Anna.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ with her son, Reverend Robert Gorman officiatin­g.

Interment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstow­n, NJ.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
