TRENTON

4 Arrested In City Drug Bust: Shawn V. Parks, 27, of Ewing; Tyree M. Davis, 19, of Trenton; Eddy Taylor, 21, of Trenton; and Damion Douglas, 20, of Trenton, have all been arrested on drug charges Thursday. The Trenton Police Street Crimes Unit observed those four individual­s on the porch of a vacant and abandoned property on the 800 block of Carteret Avenue about 5 p.m. The officers proceeded to investigat­e to learn why those individual­s were loitering on that property. They appeared to be smoking marijuana in plain view. Police recovered marijuana and heroin from the group. Parks was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and occupying an abandoned building; Davis, Taylor and Douglas were charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute near school property and occupying an abandoned building.

Man Assaulted: A 51-yearold man reports he was attacked Thursday night by a group of three men, who of whom was armed with a baseball bat. The victim told police he was assaulted on Federal Street, but he refused to cooperate with police when officers tried to corroborat­e his story. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center to treat a laceration to his head. Police on Friday said they had no eyewitness­es to the assault and no surveillan­ce footage of it. The incident remains under investigat­ion.

HAMILTON

3 Arrested in Suburban Drug Bust: Aaron “GUNZ” Carter, 38, of Hamilton; Leroy Martin, 25, of Hamilton; and Leteef Marsh, 24, of Hamilton, were arrested on drug charges during a raid operation at Carter’s Gwenyth Way residence Tuesday. The operation by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force concluded a two-month investigat­ion. In addition to the three arrests, detectives seized $4,200 in drugs. During the course of the investigat­ion, multiple undercover narcotics purchases were made from Carter. On Tuesday, officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Hamilton and Trenton police department­s, operating under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigat­ions Unit, executed search warrants at Carter’s residence. Two bundles of heroin were found during a search of the residence, along with 37 Xanax pills and nine bags of marijuana. At the time of Carter’s arrest, he was found in alleged possession of 24 bricks of heroin and $513. A Chevrolet Impala and a Nissan 350Z were seized as drug proceeds. Carter was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distributi­on of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession with the intent to distribute. The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to have him detained. Martin was in Carter’s vehicle at the time of the search warrant execution and found to have three bags of crack cocaine in his possession. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Marsh was arrested during the residence search. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Martin and Marsh were released from custody pending further court proceeding­s.

PRINCETON

Victim Lost $85K In Fraud Scheme: A victim on Wednesday reported he was defrauded out of approximat­ely $85,000. Unknown actors created a fraudulent email address that closely resembled that of the victim. Using the fraudulent email address, the actor contacted the victim’s financial advisor requesting, and subsequent­ly receiving, a wire transfer in the amount of $85,430.91 from the victim’s investment account. Police as of Friday afternoon have not made any arrests in connection with the theft by deception.

Burglary: A victim reports leaving his property on the 100 block of Crestview Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Upon returning, the victim reports 90 feet of copper piping was cut and stolen from the basement of the residence. The front and rear doors of the property were closed but unlocked at the time of the incident. Police as of Friday afternoon have not made any arrests in connection with the residentia­l burglary.
