Drugs in the Car: Judisia R. Daniels, 37, and Darius D. Thomas, 27, both of Trenton, were arrested Wednesday on drug charges. Trenton Police Street Crime Unit detectives were in the area of North Montgomery and Feeder streets about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday when they observed a motor vehicle violation and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Thomas, was observed handing an object to a passenger identified as Daniels. Police also noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Daniels turned 15grams of marijuana over to the detectives, and she and Thomas were charged with drug possession and distributi­on charges.

Unit detectives were patrolling the 400block of Dr. Martin

Luther King Jr. Boulevard about 9:30p.m. Wednesday when they conducted a motor vehicle stop upon a vehicle for a traffic-related violation. During the stop, officers could smell the raw odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During the investigat­ion, police recovered 15grams of marijuana from the floorboard of the vehicle as well as a box of sandwich bags and a digital scale inside the vehicle. Police charged Burnett with possession and distributi­on of controlled dangerous substance. Another Drug Arrest: Maurice M. Lewis, 35, of Trenton, was arrested Monday evening on drug charges. Trenton Police detectives were on patrol in the area of Rosemont and Hoffman avenues working as members of a Violent Crime Task Force when the found an individual, later identified as Lewis, sitting on the front steps to a Rosemont Avenue residence about 7:50p.m. Monday. The officers got closer and smelled the burnt odor of marijuana. The officers conducted an investigat­ion and found Lewis in alleged possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, a digital scale and a razor. Police also found Lewis in possession of $480in currency, which police seized as suspected proceeds of illegal narcotics transactio­ns. Police charged Lewis with a variety of drug charges, including distributi­on of a controlled dangerous substance. More Drug Arrests: Jaque Marsh, 22, of Trenton, and Edgardo Ortiz, 50, of Trenton, were both arrested Tuesday after police interrupte­d an alleged narcotics transactio­n between the two men. Trenton Police detectives about 5p.m. Tuesday were in the area of North Hermitage Avenue and Gilbert Alley when they found Marsh and Ortiz engaged in suspicious activity. Police found Marsh in alleged possession of 11small Ziploc bags of suspected marijuana and found Ortiz in alleged possession of two cigars commonly used in the ingestion of marijuana. Marsh was charged with distributi­on of a controlled dangerous substance, and Ortiz was charged with loitering to obtain a controlled dangerous substance. Alleged Domestic Violence: Thomas Harrington, 23, of Trenton, was arrested Tuesday night on simple assault domestic violence charges on allegation he struck his 27-year-old wife in the face. Police were detailed to the 1100block of Lamberton Street about 9:25p.m. Tuesday on a report of unknown trouble. Police soon learned that Harrington was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim, during which time he shoved her in the face and caused swelling and bruising to her face. He was there on scene when officers arrived and taken into police custody and charged with the simple assault.

HAMILTON

Pharmacy Robbery: Three robbers entered the CVS Pharmacy in the 1000 block of Route 33 late Sunday night; one of the culprits was armed with a handgun and demanded oxycodone from the pharmacist. The suspects fled from the pharmacy with an undisclose­d amount of pills toward Herbert Avenue and possibly entered a black vehicle, unknown make and model, and drove off toward Nottingham Way.
