Mr. Paul Israel

Jr., 81, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Saint Frances Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Marion, South Carolina and later resided in Trenton, NJ.

Paul was employed by Castoro & Company, Hopewell New Jersey and a member of Builders Laborer Union Local 77, he also volunteere­d with Hughes Funeral Home.

He was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church, serving over 44 years of combined service with Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Paul continued his service with many ministries; Ushering, Housekeepi­ng, Landscapin­g, and a Greeter.

Predecease­d by his parents, Paul Israel Sr. and Cornetha Lucky (Israel) Owens; brothers, Charles Owens; Earl Israel; Pearlie Israel; and sister Janie Ruth Mason.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Rosezenia Israel, of Trenton NJ; his four children, Angela Sample- Davis (Robert) of Ewing NJ, Annette Isreal (Edward) of Hamilton NJ, Pauline Bynum (Charles) of Sicklervil­le NJ, Kevin Isreal (Toni) of Trenton NJ; nine grandchild­ren, Andrew Kennedy III (Tonia) of Smyrna DE, Nicole Riley of Ewing NJ, Isiah Brown Jr. of Sicklervil­le NJ, Xavier Brown of Mount Royal NJ, Lawanda Bynum (Terry) of San Antonio TX, Charles Bynum of Sicklervil­le NJ, Denielle Bynum of Atlantic City NJ, and Brandon Forbes of Hamilton NJ; one great grandchild, Jaylon Williams of Middle River Maryland. Brothers James Israel (Bertha) of Rochester NY, John C. Owens, of Mullins SC, Earnel Owens of Florence SC, Bob Owens (Rose) of Vera Beach, FL, sister Eloise Dunkin of Mullins SC.; in-laws, Levi Powell of Ewing NJ, Elijah Sample (Equilla) of Ewing NJ, Viola Sample of Hamilton NJ, Leroy Sample (Queene Mary) of Savannah GA, Clarence Sample of Levittown PA; along with a special lifelong friend/brother-inlaw Mr. Henry Moses of Trenton NJ and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday August 12, 2017 at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 735 East State Street in Trenton, New Jersey, Reverend Timothy L. Jordan Officiatin­g. Calling hours will be from 8 am until 10 am. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangemen­ts are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
