Dionisios Tsilimidos, of Hamilton
Dionisios Tsilimidos, 84, of Hamilton, entered into God’s eternal rest on Friday, August 18, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kefalonia, Greece he emigrated to the United States in 1953 and has resided in the Trenton area for most of his life. He was an auto body repair technician who owned and operated two auto body repair shops, Commercial Body Shop in Bordentown and Harney’s Corner in Lawrenceville, as well as briefly working for Toyota of Trenton. Dionisios was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church since moving to the U.S., he served on the church board in the past and was currently an active member of the Trenton Ahepa Chapter #72. He loved to play cards with his friends, and loved his yearly summer trips to his beloved Greece. Dionisios was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Son of the late Spriangelo and Malvina (Siliverdis) Tsilimidos; he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Roubina (Nikolatos) Tsilimidos; his three children: Malvina Tsilimidos, Spiro Tsilimidos and Kim Ritchlin, and Peter Tsilimidos; five grandchildren: Christopher Tsilimidos and wife Sarah, Meghan, Daniel, Evan, and Dennis Tsilimidos; two great grandsons, Christopher and Maximus Tsilimidos; a sister, Eleni and husband Gerasimos Ballas; five sisters-inlaw and brothers-in- law: Angeliki and husband Spiros Hionis, Nick Nikolatos, Prokopios Nikolatos and wife Maria, Evangelos Nikolatos and wife Panagiota, and Stamatia Nikolatos; as well as many lifelong beloved friends and brothers Ahepan; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends both here and in Greece.
Greek Orthodox funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 WhitehorseMercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Trisaghion services will be held Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm with Father Anastasios Kousoulas officiating.
