Love Triangle Assault: Tyasia Hayden, 24, of the 200block of Coolidge Avenue in Trenton, was arrested shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday morning in what police classify as a love triangle gone awry. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Eisenhower Avenue on a suspicious person with a weapon. On their arrival, they spoke to one of the victims who reported that she was in her vehicle when Hayden walked up and started kicking at her car and then tried to break the windows with an object. When the victim got out of the car to confront the suspect, Hayden pulled out a knife and tried to cut her in her face and stab her. Hayden then took off in her vehicle. The victim reported that Hayden was on the 200block of Coolidge Avenue, trying to break out the windows of her friend’s house, who is the second victim. At that point, officers responded to that location and they observed the second victim holding down Hayden. When officers arrived, they secured Hayden and were told she was trying to break the windows of the second victim’s house with a knife. When Hayden was searched by officers, they found a black folding knife in her right pocket. Hayden is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, numerous weapons charges and hindering apprehensi­on. She also had numerous warrants out for her arrest from Lawrence, Hamilton and West Windsor.

7-Eleven Assault: Darren J. Koodray, 51, of the 300 block of West State Street in Trenton, was arrested at 3:30a.m. on Friday for an assault at 7-Eleven on North Olden Avenue. The victim told police he was walking out of the 7-Eleven when Koodray struck him in the face, knocking him unconsciou­s to the ground. When the victim came through, he realized he couldn’t move his left leg. Police and ambulance were called to the store. Koodray was still at the scene and was placed under arrest. The victim suffered a concussion and a dislocated left hip. Koodray was charged with aggravated assault and had numerous outstandin­g warrants. Koodray has a history of violence. He was also arrested for aggravated assault in April when he allegedly struck a 31-year-old female in the head with a pipe, causing her to fall and hit her head. Battery Robbery: Sammie L. Major, 51, of the 1200 block of Greenwood Avenue in Trenton, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday assaulting a CVS employee after stealing batteries. Police were detailed to the CVS on Greenwood Avenue on a report of shopliftin­g. On arrival, police were informed that Major was suspected of stealing a handful of batteries and was being confronted by a security guard when Major pushed the security guard into the ground. At that point, Major ran out of the store. Officers were able to locate him and place him under arrest. Major was charged with robbery and obstructin­g the administra­tion of law. He also had an active warrant out of Ewing.

DWI With Child Home Alone: Ashley N. Moore, 26, of the 1100 block of Adeline Street in Trenton, was arrested early Friday morning for drunk driving while she left her 7-year-old son home alone. Police observed her dark-colored sedan on the 600 block of South Clinton Avenue traveling at a high rate of speed and then saw her fail to stop at a traffic light. Police conducted a traffic stop on 200 block of Elmer Street. Moore was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DWI and a slew of other vehicle offenses. While at police headquarte­rs at 4 a.m., she advised officers that she needed to contact her mother because she had left her 7-year-old son home alone and unattended. Police went to the home and located the child in house in safe condition. Subsequent­ly, she was charged with endangerin­g the welfare of a child.
