SOLEBURY, Pa.
Man Arrested, Charged with Assault: Christopher Scott Evans, 24, of Solebury, Pa., was arrested Friday on aggravated assault charges accusing him of attacking an elderly man. A 9-1-1call was received by Bucks County Emergency Communications on Friday in regards to an assault that had just occurred on the 6200 block of Lower Mountain Road in Solebury Township. Officers arrived on location shortly after 10a.m. to find an 89-yearold male who was assaulted by a known subject who fled prior to police arrival. Officers were advised by the victim and witnesses that the alleged offender who fled the scene was last seen operating a gold Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The alleged offender was reported to be Evans, a local township resident. Officers advised Bucks County Police Radio and surrounding police departments to be on the lookout for the vehicle/alleged offender. Buckingham Township Police Officer J. Lehnen, who was on patrol in the area of Upper Mountain Road and Route 413, did observe the above-mentioned vehicle/ operator. Officer Lehnen did attempt to conduct a traffic stop on this vehicle along Route 263in Buckingham Township when the operator of the pickup truck fled southbound at a high rate of speed as well as driving recklessly. Due to the extremely reckless manner the pickup truck was being driven officers terminated the pursuit for safety of all. At approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, Bucks County Emergency Communications received a 9-1-1call in regards to a reckless motorist in the area of Route 611and Street Road in Warrington Township. The 9-1-1caller advised police dispatchers of the vehicle’s description and the detailed information about the reckless manner the vehicle’s operator was traveling. The caller lost sight of the vehicle during this call. A second 9-1-1 call was placed by the same citizen advising of an updated location of the vehicle. Warrington Township Police did arrive on location and were able to locate the vehicle as well Evans, who was detained for Solebury Township Police. The victim from this assault received serious injuries and was treated and transported by Central Bucks EMS and Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance to Saint Mary Medical Center near Langhorne. Evans was arrested by Solebury Township Police and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangering another person, simple assault, fleeing and eluding police, disorderly conduct, harassment, reckless driving as well as numerous other traffic violations. Evans was arraigned before District Court Judge Seaman. He was unable to post 10percent of $500,000bail and was being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility. Solebury Police were assisted by Central Bucks EMS, Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance, Buckingham Township Police and Warrington Township Police. The Solebury Police Department extended its extreme gratitude to the citizen who observed a reckless motorist, knowing something was not right and calling 9-1-1not once but twice with detailed information. “This information removed a person who was a serious threat to the public off the streets,” police said, adding, “If you see something, say something.”

Drug Arrests: Christian C. Shelton, 19, of the Dayton section of South Brunswick, and Allencia M. Davis, 18, of Trenton, were arrested Thursday night on drug charges subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 1. A Plainsboro police officer stopped a 2011 silver Toyota Prius upon Route 1 South for having an inoperative headlamp. This motor vehicle stop was initiated as part of a “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” enforcement campaign. The driver, identified as Shelton, and a frontseat passenger, identied as Davis, were both subsequently arrested on drug charges. Shelton was issued criminal and motor vehicle summonses for alleged possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and maintenance of lamps. Davis was issued a criminal summons for alleged possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Both were released on their own recognizance pending a future court appearance in Plainsboro Township Municipal Court.
