Reba L. Bethke,

84, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Hamilton Grove Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center.

Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the State of NJ Division of Motor Vehicle after many years of service.

Reba was a member of the Hamilton YMCA, Ladies Auxiliary of De Cou Firehouse, enjoyed playing Bingo, and traveling with friends and family. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her granddaugh­ters play softball and perform in the High School Band. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter of the late John and Florence Jenkins Purdy, wife of the late Robert Bethke, Sr., sister of the late John Purdy, Roger Purdy, Jane Chumar, Gwendolyn Rue, Joyce Downs, she is survived by her two sons and daughtersi­n-law, Robert and Deborah Bethke, Jr., and John and Marianne Bethke; a brother, Richard Purdy, a sister, Wilma Alexander; brother-in-law, Edward Downs; four grandchild­ren, Erin Bogdan and her husband Robert, and Andrea, Katrina, and Dakota Bethke; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning, September 8, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. Services will be conducted 11 a.m. at the memorial chapel. Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park.
