The Trentonian (Trenton, NJ)

Probably won’t be a winning season at an NFL stadium nearby

This might be a great time to ask “Are you ready for some football?” but serious distaste exists here for Hank Williams, Jr.

The Every Show Produces Negative (ESPN) opinions should be embarrassed to bring back Williams.

NFL owners and Commissioner Roger Goodell have crossed over to the Dark Side.

Well, let’s get to this as three Trentonian area NFL teams prepare for the 2017 season.

Start with the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets who may be worse than the M-E-T-S, Mets, Mets, Mets.

Remember Filene’s basement? Well, this Jets’ elevator heads downward for a hellish season of minimal offense.

Uh, Josh McCown as quarterback throwing the ball to a lackluster, young receiving crew?

These Jets will drop off the radar as fans call for the dismissal of coach Todd Bowles.

His head may roll as Jets deliver dismal 3-13 mark.

A visit to the Capital City Farmers Market in Trenton’s Mill Hill Park meant a stop to visit The Cheesecake Lady aka Lisa Parysz.

Parysz and a friend were debating whether to attend Thursday’s final Levitt Amp Trenton music series featuring The New Jersey Capital Philharmonic Orchestra or stay home to watch the Eagles vs. Jets preseason game.

Just say psyche evaluation while enjoying Parysz’ scrumptious desserts.

A similar opinion occurs while listening to Eagles’ fans who forced my return to listening to WXPN and WDAS.

Listening to Philly sports radio, one knows that marijuana decriminalization has occurred in the City of Brotherly Love.

Or, here’s a joke that will guffaw my critical son.

What did painter James McNeil Whistler shout after the disappearance of his mother?

She’s off her rocker! Eagles’ fans, too. Win the division? Super Bowl in three years? (Don’t bogart that joint my friend...). Mind you, alleged franchise quarterback Carson Wentz will excite as Eagles improve.

Coach Doug Pederson remains suspect but Eagles deliver 9-7 or 8-8 season.

Giants backup quarterbacks put up 40 points against New England’s 38 in the final preseason contest.

Receivers Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard should make QB Eli Manning a top-rated passer.

If Giants can establish the run then Big Blue will put up a second straight 11-5 mark.
