Janet M. Conaway

Janet M. Conaway, daughter of the late Herman and Mary Conaway, was born on May 22, 1933 in Fieldsboro, NJ. She departed this life peacefully in Hamilton, NJ on August 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was a native of Fieldsboro, NJ for 84 years where she graduated from William McFarland High School. She was an employee for the State of New Jersey for over 35 years. Janet was well known for her love of cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Senior Ministry and of the Mothers Board at Galilee Baptist Church until her health started to decline. She was a caregiver to many people, especially her family and friends.

Janet Conaway was predeceased by her brother Samuel Conaway and her Sister-in-law Eva Christine Conaway. She is survived by her uncle Albert Gaines (Alberta), her aunts Lucy Lee and Helen Miller, sister Georginna Smith, brothers Earl C. Conaway (Claudine) and Herbert Conaway; her daughters Beverly Morris (Errington), Janice Patterson (George), and Terrence Conaway; her grandchildren Danyrea Joseph (Quentin), Gabriel L. Rodriguez (Nicole); her great grandchildren Zahra Joseph, Taniya Joseph, Gabriel E. Rodriguez; a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Fri Sept. 8, 2017 at Galilee Baptist Church 440 Martin Luther King. Blvd. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church.
