TCNJ SCOUTING REPORT: The Lions had an early lead in the opener and couldn’t sustain it. This the level goes up as notch as Frostburg State is No. 11 in the nation. Trevor Osler, who threw for 175 yards in the opener, should return after missing most of the second half with an injury. TCNJ gave up too many big plays and is going to have to minimize its mistakes. They will way to run the ball with Khani Glover and Connor Owen. Osler will look to Ibn Bailey, Vincent Guckin and tight end Chase Vena as targets. Frostburg is a balanced attack and the TCNJ defense is going to need to step up and make some big plays. FROSTBURG STATE SCOUTING REPORT: The Bobcats return 19 starters from the 10-1 team on 2016 and they are a team ready to challenge for a conference title. Niles Scott, who had a pair of sacks last week, is an All-America selection and anchors a very good defense. Jamaal Morant rushed for 71 yards and Grayson Boyce scored three TD’s in the opener. Connor Cox handles the quarterback duties and he completed 61.1% of his passes in the first game. This is a very potent team and they are going to be tough for the Lions to handle. KEY MATCHUP: TCNJ front line controlling the line of scrimmage. EXTRA POINTS: Frostburg State was picked second in the NJAC preseason poll. …TCNJ freshman Liam Abujawdeh was named the conference Defensive Rookie of the Week after an interception and four tackles in the season opening loss. …FSU’s kicker Hassan Mostafa was the NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week after booting a pair of field goals. … The Bobcats, who are riding a 10game winning streak, are the highest ranked NJAC team in the polls at No. 11. …Wesley is No. 22. …Other NJAC games, William Paterson (0-1, 0-0 NJAC) at Salisbury (0-1, 0-0 NJAC), Montclair State (0-0) at Salve Regina (1-0), Kean (0-0) at Springfield (1-0), Hampden-Sydney (1-0) at Christopher Newport (1-0) and Southern Virginia (0-1, 0-1 NJAC) at Rowan (1-0, 0-0 NJAC).
