Assault By Auto: Keya Butler, 24, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly ramming her car into her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle in June. Officials say Butler and the 24-year-old man were arguing about money in Kingsbury Square just prior to the vehicle assault. One some point during the argument, officials say, Butler walked away to her car, leaving the victim to believe the argument was over. The victim then entered his car to leave, according to officials who say he didn’t realize Butler was driving directly at him until it was too late. The man swerved to avoid being hit, and Butler crashed her car into the passenger side of his vehicle. The man suffered two broken bones in his right hand and drove himself to the hospital after the crash. Butler fled the housing complex, but was arrested by state police Wednesday.

Face Whipped: Lorraine Tarver, 28, was arrested for allegedly slapping her 5-year-old daughter in the face with a belt. Police say school officials notified Child Protection and Permanency after noticing a belt welt on the child’s face. Police say the investigation revealed Tarver slapped her daughter with a belt because the child was taking too long to get dressed for school. The kid suffered a swollen right eye and facial bruises “consistent with the shape and width of a belt,” police said. The child was treated at the hospital. Tarver is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Knife Attack: Kyle Vaughn, 39, was arrested after he allegedly cut a woman during an argument about infidelity. Officials say Vaughn and the 26-yearold mother of his child were arguing in his house when Vaughn grabbed a knife and swung it at her. The woman suffered a 2-inch laceration to her right forearm and was treated at the hospital. Vaughn is charged with aggravated assault and related weapons offenses.
