Alfonso “Peanut” Slaughter,

Sr., 60, of Ewing, departed this life on September 7, 2017.

Born and educated in Trenton, Alfonso resided in Ewing for the past 23 years. He retired from Ann Klein Forensic Center after 27 years of service. Alfonso was a multi-talented musician who played the drums, piano, bass, and guitar.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Slaughter-Brown; father, Felix Slaughter; sisters, Phyllis Daniel, Jean Jones and Janet McEwen; and brother, Felix Slaughter.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lisa; children, Alexander and Alan Slaughter of Ewing, Alfonso Slaughter Jr. of Trenton, Kayron Livingston of Biddeford, ME, and Monique Slaughter of Chesapeake, VA; father, John Lowe Sr. (Marchada); mother-in-law, Patricia Barr; three brothers and one sister, Steve Slaughter (Della), Hakeem Mohammed, Ted Brown and Rev. Brenda Mack (Burton); half siblings, John Lowe Jr. (Sandy), Jon Smith Sr. (Cynthia),Troy Harden (Stephanie), Heath Davis, and Sylvia Muhammed-Shamsiddee­n (Tuaheed), two sisters-in-law, Tanya and Rachelle Barr; three brothers-in-law, J. Michael, David, and Dana Barr; a special niece, Latrease Jones; seven grandchild­ren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 12 noon at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon at the chapel.
