Mary Claire Maher of Flemington

Mary Claire Maher, age 69 years, of Flemington, NJ, died September 17, 2017 at her home.

Born June 27, 1948 in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Leo and Virginia (Bresnan) Maher.

Mary was a homemaker, who loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed learning about her family lineage, drawing, writing poems, and celebrating her Irish heritage. She was a member of the Hunterdon County Democratic Committee for 10 years.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Hope & Kenneth Miller of Flemington, Christopher & Amy Billings of New Egypt, Charles & Kelly Billings of Galloway, and Thomas Billings of Union; her grandchildren, Leonard and his wife Melanie, Taylor, Madison and her husband Luis, Aubrey, Emily, Joshua, Isabella, Tyler, Christopher Cooper, Jr., Devon, Christopher, Sara, Victoria, Joanna, Theresa and Macy; her great-grandchildren, Christianna, Leah, Levi, Ellie and one on the way; her sisters, Lois Zarish and her husband, Joseph, Carole Maher, and Bernadette Maher; and by her brothers, Thomas and his wife Joyce Maher and Michael Maher; and several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Calling hours will be from 9 am until the time of service in the funeral home.
