Larry D. Horton of Trenton

Larry D. Horton, 62 of Trenton departed this life on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.

Born in Wilson, NC, Mr. Horton was a lifelong resident of Trenton.

He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School.

He was formerly employed by US Steel Fairless Works and the State of New Jersey Department of Taxation.

He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Predeceased by a brother, Kenneth M. Horton; a nephew, Kenneth M. Horton, Jr.; a niece, Yashima S. Hopkins and stepfather, Willie G. Hopkins.

He is survived by his mother, Ella M. Hopkins; a daughter, Ayeola M. Horton; 3 grandchildren, A’Briana Ingram, A’Ryonna Horton, A’Donyss Horton; 3 brothers, Terry Murphy, Howard Murphy and Willie G. Hopkins, Jr.; 4 Sisters, Brenda C. Ortiz, Jacqueline Hopkins, Denese O Hopkins and Toshell Hopkins; 2 aunts, Margaret Horton and Pearlie Tawn; 2 uncles, Curtis and James Horton; 4 nieces, 5 nephews, Latasha Horton, Zerhonna Kormann, Omar Ortiz, Shamia, ReRe, Lamar, Zsari and Tavion Hopkins and Dustin Bartlett, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September23, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Kingdom Hall 117 Oakland St. Trenton, NJ.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Calling hour will be Saturday from 12noon to 1pm at the Hall.

Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
