Franco Esposito, 50, of Hamilton, entered into God’s eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, September 28,

2017 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of McCorristi­n H.S. Class of 1985, he graduated from the Burlington County Police Academy, and worked as an officer for the Conrail Police Dept. He managed his family’s restaurant, Vince’s Pizza and Restaurant for many years. Franco was a Philadelph­ia Eagles and Phillies fan as well as a fan of the Napoli Soccer Team. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Franco is predecease­d by his paternal grandparen­ts, Francesco and Stella Esposito; his maternal grandparen­ts, Luigi and Giuseppina Bastone; his uncle Salvatore Annunziato; and his Godfather, Joseph Belardo. Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife of 26 years, Kimberly (Raike) Esposito; his two children, Gabriella and Franco Jr.; his parents, Vincenzo and Carmela (Bastone) Esposito; his brother, Luigi Esposito and wife Kelly; his sister, Stella and husband Scott Thompson; his nieces and nephews, Vincenzo and Salvatore Esposito, Marcella, Christina, and Carmela Thompson, and Julian Pantaleone; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Raike; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Raike Jr., Jimmy Raike and wife Debbie, Angela and husband David Pantaleone, Jody and husband Nick Halas; aunts and uncles, Francesca Annunziato, Antonio and Angela Pandolfi; his Godmother, Tina Belardo; his best friends, Dan Maher and wife Linda, Miguel Martinez and wife Joellen, and Donald Walsh and wife Denise; as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins in Naples, Italy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Sq., NJ. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may call Sunday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday morning from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercervill­e Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
