Patricia A. McGuckin Alexander, 79, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Compassion­ate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1956 graduate of Hamilton High School and a 1958 graduate of Endicott College. She was a former member of Rainbow Girls, the Nottingham Women’s Club and the Mercer and Burlington WOW’s Club. Patty was a longtime member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton and was employed with the Hamilton Township School System as a substitute teacher for 30 years. Patty was an avid Bridge player and horseback rider.

Predecease­d by her parents, John and Mildred (Lawton) McGuckin and her husband, Richard W. Alexander; she is survived by her son, Brent J. Alexander and his fiancé, Ally Chew; her companion, James Stout and the Lawton, Scott, Steel, Fitzmeyer and Alexander families.

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
