Samuel Carlisle Rue, formerly of Robbinsville
Samuel Carlisle Rue, 79, of Camden-Wyoming, DE (formerly Robbinsville, NJ) passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara H. Rue and family.
Born on March 16, 1938 in New Sharon, NJ, Samuel was a longtime employee of Mercer Rubber and Allentown Caging prior to his retirement. He was a lifelong Yankee fan, loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, and enjoyed time spent in his yard and garden. His favorite thing was time spent with his caring family.
Samuel “Butch” is survived by 3 children and spouses, daughter, Joyce M. Penkola and husband Edward J. Penkola Jr., daughter, Beverly Dimmick, son, David Carlisle Rue and wife Katy Rue; grandchildren, Ryan E. Penkola, Brielle M. Penkola, Scott Samuel Dimmick, Emily R. Pummer, Riley Rue, and Wyatt Carlisle Rue, as well as special niece and nephew, Linda J. Haun and Boomer V. Hutnick.
A viewing followed by a memorial service will be held at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street Allentown, NJ. Family and friends may gather, Saturday, October 14th from 3-5pm to pay their respects. A memorial service will begin at 5pm.
