Timothy J. O’Neill, 73, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, entered into God’s eternal rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelph­ia, PA surrounded by his loving family. Born in Canton, Ohio, Tim was raised in the Hamilton Township, NJ area. He has resided in Little Egg Harbor, NJ for the past 12 years with his beloved wife of 41 years, Tanya.

Tim was an Ironworker for the Local 68 for 47 years, retiring in 2006. He was an avid fisherman who fished all over the world and loved to be on the water.

Tim was a graduate of Hamilton High West, Class of 1962, where he played on the football team. He loved playing football and went on to play semi-pro football as well as flag football. He coached the Bantam Football League in Hamilton Township as well.

He enjoyed an additional 5 years of life after surviving a heart transplant in 2012.

Son of the late Vincent N. and Elizabeth E. (Beard) O’Neill; brother of the late Michael and David O’Neill; Tim is survived by his loving wife Tanya (Waselus) O’Neill; his siblings, Richard “Danny” O’Neill and wife Barbara, Kathy and husband Donald Hopson, Margaret “Peggy” and husband Lenny Rataski, and Patrick O’Neill and wife Cathy Lee; 3 sisters-in-law, Andrea Kaye, Anita and husband Frank Paine, and Cecelia and husband John Kelly; a special dear friend, Ernie “Mum” Calorio; many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 at St. Theresa Church, 450 Radio Rd., Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A calling hour will be held prior to the mass in the gathering area of the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Calling hours in Hamilton Twp. will be held Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hamilton BrennaCell­ini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercervill­e Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
