TRENTON
Armed Robbery: A gunman and his accomplice robbed a city gas station Friday morning, depriving the business of thousands of dollars in cash. The incident occurred about 6a.m. Friday at the convenience store portion of a gas station on the 100block of South Olden Avenue. Both suspects made a forced entry into the establishment and one of them produced a handgun and was able to obtain over $5,000in U.S. currency in the armed robbery. The incident was captured on surveillance camera footage and the Trenton Police Department’s Detective Bureau was working to identify the culprits, both of whom were described as black males, one wearing a black-hooded jacket and pants and the other wearing lightcolored pants and a du-rag on his head. Alleged Gunman Arrested: Yoji Isa-Chauca, 23, of Clifton, was arrested Friday morning at his North Jersey residence in connection with a recent Trenton shooting that wounded a city man. Police say IsaChauca was involved in the Sept. 5shooting in which a 23-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to both of his thighs on the 200block of Academy Street. The victim told police he was in the area when three Hispanic males approached him, which led to a physical altercation in which one of the males pulled out a handgun and fired it at the victim. The three males fled the area in two vehicles and the victim was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment, where he was listed in stable condition at the time. A regional fugitive task force arrested Isa-Chauca at his Clifton home on Friday. Police charged him with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Woman Arrested: Shakiera Davis, 23, was arrested Friday in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred in September. Police say Davis attacked a 28-year-old woman Sept. 25on the 200block of Prospect Street. The victim of the assault suffered orbital fractures. After issuing warrants for Davis’ arrest, police took her into custody on Friday. Alleged Domestic Violence: Lewis Bacon, 45, was arrested Friday on allegations he struck his adult daughter in the leg with a baseball bat. The incident occurred about 10p.m. Friday at the Kingsbury Square towers. Police arrested Bacon at the scene and charged him with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. The victim suffered minor injuries to her leg and did not require medical attention.
MOUNT HOLLY
Murder Indictment: Laura Bluestein, 29, of Mount Holly, has been indicted on firstdegree murder charges in connection with the death of her partner, 29-year-old Felicia Dormans. Inside the couple’s Mill Street home, authorities found Dormans Aug. 6 suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Cops were sent to the home after one of Bluestein’s relatives reported a suspected assault. Dormans was pronounced dead at the scene. Bluestein told investigators she and Dormans were married. Dormans was considering leaving the relationship because she was allegedly being abused by Bluestein, according to the victim’s mother, as cited in a Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office press release. Bluestein has been detained in the Burlington County Jail since her arrest on Aug. 7. A Burlington County grand jury on Thursday indicted Bluestein on one count each of first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree tampering with evidence. The case is being prosecuted by Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Carmy. Another Murder Indictment: Frank Walker III, 41, of Wrightstown, was indicted Thursday on murder charges and weapons offenses in connection with the July 13 slaying of 29-year-old Diana Stillwell in Pemberton Township. Walker has been detained in the Burlington County Jail since his arrest on August 18. He is accused of stabbing the victim to death behind a vacant store in the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township in the area of Juliustown and Pemberton-Browns Mills roads. The case is being prosecuted by Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor Bob VanGilst.
