Eating Crack: A man determined not to be arrested for drug offenses, allegedly shoved crack cocaine into his mouth when he saw cops, prompting a struggle to save him from harm. Dillon Johnson, 23, and Klay Jones, 43, were arrested following the struggle Sunday, when police allegedly witnessed a drug deal. Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were on Woodland Street around 1:30 a.m. when they saw Johnson standing next to a gold Infiniti. The driver of the car, identified as Jones, allegedly gave Johnson something in exchange for cash, but then drove away when he saw cops. A detective then detained Johnson, while other cops chased the car. Officials say that’s when Johnson tried to eat two baggies of crack. Police say one baggie fell onto the ground, but Johnson shoved the other one into his mouth. The cop then struggled with Johnson to prevent him from swallowing the dangerous drug, and eventually forced him

to spit it out. Meanwhile, Jones pulled into a driveway a short distance away and jumped out of the car. Cops quickly detained him, and later found seven bags of crack when they searched the Infiniti. Police also seized $73 in cash from Jones and towed the car. No injuries were reported. Robbery Arrest: James Bradley, 26, was arrested Monday in connection with a robbery that happened last week. According to police, around 6:10 a.m. last Friday, two males knocked on the door of a closed mini market in the 100 block of South Olden Avenue and asked to be let in the business. An employee inside opened the door, officials say, and the two men rushed into the property. Once inside, a suspect pointed a gun at the employee. The suspects then took money from the cash register and fled. As a result of the investigation, warrants were issued for Bradley’s arrest and he was apprehended Monday near the intersection of Clearfield and Rogers avenues. The second suspect remains on the run and the investigation is ongoing.

Caught in the Act: Christopher Nordgren, 48, was arrested after a citizen allegedly caught him stealing items from vehicles. Officials say cops were sent to Brunswick Avenue around 7 a.m. Monday after learning that a civilian was holding a burglary suspect. When police arrived, they found the vigilante on top of Nordgren, who was clutching a sleeping bag and jacket. The citizen told police the bag and jacket was stolen out of his truck. When police searched Nordgren, they also found burglar’s tools.

Heroin and Pot: Davon Billips, 27, was arrested Monday after police allegedly found him in possession of 50 decks of heroin and 48 grams of marijuana, which was seized along with $440 in cash. Officials say cops encountered Billips during a suspicious person investigation on Passaic Street.

Officials say a multi-agency effort between Princeton PD, Franklin PD, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, Hillsborough PD and the FBI led to Watson’s arrest. Cops apprehended him on a traffic warrant in the parking lot of an Applebee’s restaurant in Hillsborough last Friday night.
