Confiscated funds
I was reading the paper about the police confiscating drugs and money from drug dealers. Which is great. I want to know what the police do with all the money that they confiscate. They never say anything, all they say is they take the money. What do they do with the money? I’m just curious.

That’s a good question, that I know a lot of people have. The laws are different in different states, but there is usually a split where some of it goes to fund addiction programs, some goes to regional and/or state law enforcement agencies and most of it get spent by the departments on new equipment and computers and whatnot. Departments everywhere benefit from this influx of cash to get gear they often would have to do without because budgets are all too low. There is some beauty to the concept that a drug dealer loses a whole lot of money to the cops who buy things to help them catch more drug dealers. — Ed Note
Bordentown Police
I’m calling about Bordentown Township police department. If L.A. Parker only knew what the officers, mostly all white, had to endure for the last decade and what it took for them to overcome to bring the truth out to the story, he would be writing an article praising the officers.

He actually did praise the officer who recorded the chief and came forward with it. The problem is really less with the officers and more with the fact that a system was in place that allowed this racist man to stay in power for so long.
