William John Feczer, age 82, of Hamilton died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the hospice unit at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Passaic, NJ, William was raised in Elmwood Park, and had resided in the Hamilton Township area since 1982. William was retired from the State of New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice where he was employed for over 20 years as an investigat­or. Prior to working for the State of New Jersey he had worked as an investigat­or for the Philadelph­ia District Attorney’s Office. William received an investigat­or of the year award while at the D.C.J. He loved fishing, and enjoyed playing baseball for the D.C.J. team with his fellow employees. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. William was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfathe­r, great grandfathe­r, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Son of the late William and Julia (Fonyi) Feczer; William is survived by his loving wife Kathleen C. (Merry) Feczer who he was with for 35 years, and marrying her in 2002. William has 3 sons, Michael Feczer and wife Barbara, Robert Feczer, and William Feczer; a daughter, Erin and husband Vincenzo Barone; 7 grandchild­ren: Justin Feczer, Jillian and husband Corey Reeder, Lorenzo and Ava Barone, Kristina and husband Taylor Hedge, Robert Feczer Jr. and wife Sarah, and Kristin O’Steen; 6 great-grandchidl­ren; a brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Feczer and wife Dolores; two brothers-inlaw, Richard Merry and wife Linda, John Merry and wife Christine; a sister-in-law, Claire and husband John Tacka; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Christian funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercervill­e Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Family and friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
