Trenton

Shooting: A 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder blade Sunday and he’s expected to survive the injuries. Officials say the man was shot around 1:13 p.m. while in the 100 block of Oakland Street. The victim was taken to the hospital by private means and the investigat­ion remains ongoing.

Ewing

Stolen Car: Someone stole a car that was parked in a public lot on Country Lane overnight.

Wanted: Serge Piard, 29, of Lawrence, was arrested in connection with an outstandin­g Trenton warrant during a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Street.

Wanted Too: Nikita McFarland, 28, of Trenton, was arrested in connection with an outstandin­g warrant during a traffic stop on Pennington Road.

DUI: Margie McCoy, 65, of Trenton, was arrested for driving under the influence during an accident investigat­ion on Lower Ferry Road.

Pot Bust: Giovanni Rivera, 26, of Ewing, was arrested for possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop on North Olden Avenue.

Heroin Bust: Attila Lako, 46, of Hopewell, was arrested for possession of heroin during a motor vehicle stop on Pennington Road.

Delran

Fatal Crash: Jamar Rentie, 38, of Mount Laurel, was recently killed in a one-vehicle crash in the 100 block of Hartford Road. Officials say Rentie was a passenger in a car driven by his wife, 35-year-old Tameka Lawson. Police say their car left the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned in a wooded area. Jamar Rentie was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened around 11:15 p.m. on November 12. Lawson was treated at the hospital and later released. Results of toxicology tests on blood drawn from Lawson will be considered when determinin­g whether she will face criminal charges, prosecutor­s say.

Middlesex County

Child Sex Assault: Miguel Garrido, 23, of South Brunswick, was arrested Friday for allegedly sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16. Garrido - who was a caseworker with Coordinate­d Family Care, which is a private non-profit Care Management Organizati­on providing assistance to youths and their families in Middlesex County - was acting as a caseworker at the victim’s residence during the time of the alleged assault. Garrido is charged with several counts of sex assault and two counts of endangerin­g the welfare of a child, one of which is for the alleged use of marijuana with the victim.

Murder: Tawan J. Moses, 25, of East Orange, was shot and killed Friday around

8:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene on Throop Avenue near Feaster Park in New Brunswick. No arrests have been made and the investigat­ion continues.

Pedestrian Killed: Janina Grzelczak, 69, of Brooklyn, New York, was killed Friday while walking across the street. Prosecutor­s say a 34-year-old man who has not been publicly identified was driving a Ford Explorer on Washington Road when he struck Grzelczak around 6:14 p.m. Police say she was trying to cross the roadway midblock and was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.

Bristol, Pa.

Burglary: Cash, a bottle of wine and chocolate were stolen out of a home in the 1400 block of Clyde Waite Boulevard. The loss is estimated at $2,000.

Theft from Auto: A purse and an iPad were stolen out of a 1999 Pontiac that was parked in the 4100 block of Woerner Avenue. The loss is estimated at $1,030.
