Shooting: Two 15-year-old males were injured during a shooting in the 100 block of Oakland Street around 8:35 p.m. Sunday. One teen was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the knee, according to police who say both victims are in stable condition. The shooting remains under investigation.

Bat Attack: Jose Calvo, 27, was arrested last week in connection with a baseball bat attack that happened on August 21. Police say Calvo attacked his exgirlfriend and her new boyfriend with a bat when they returned to her Euclid Avenue home around 2 a.m. that day. The new boyfriend walked to the rear of the home to unlock the door, and was ambushed by Calvo who hit him in the head with an aluminum baseball bat. Meanwhile, the female gathered personal belongings from the car and became startled when the new boyfriend began screaming. Police say Calvo then hit his exgirlfriend in the arm with the bat. Before fleeing the scene, police say, Calvo smashed several windows in the vehicle. The male victim suffered a laceration to his head that required treatment at the hospital. Warrants were issued for Calvo’s arrest after the assaults and he was apprehended last Thursday.

Street Beatdown: Nelson Gudiel-Grijalva, 34, was arrested last Thursday morning after allegedly beating a man in the 300 block of Franklin Street. Officials say detectives from the Street Crimes Unit were patrolling around 2 a.m. when they saw a large group in a parking lot. When cops stopped to investigate, they found GudielGrijalva sitting on top of a victim, punching him in the face. The victim suffered a fractured orbital bone and was treated at the hospital. Gudiel-Grijalva was charged with aggravated assault. It’s unclear what motivated the attack.

Guns and Pot: Darryl Dean, 40, of Willingboro, was arrested Saturday after police allegedly found two handguns, 68 grams of marijuana and a digital scale in a vehicle he occupied. Officials say detectives saw a suspicious vehicle parked on North Lenape Avenue around 12:30 a.m. and then smelled marijuana as they approached the car. Dean was in the driver’s seat, according to police who say the guns were loaded with hollow-point bullets, and that one of the weapons was stolen out of Philadelphia.

Armed Drunken Crash: Rocky Ledesma, 32, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly crashed a vehicle and then fled the scene leaving a handgun in the car. Witnesses told police Ledesma was arguing with another male on Humboldt Street, and that the other party fled in a vehicle, prompting Ledesma to jump in his car and speed away. Police found Ledesma’s Toyota Camry abandoned in the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue after it crashed into a building. While searching for the owner’s information, police found a gun inside the car. Witnesses gave police Ledesma’s description, and cops later found him trying to hide in the North 25 housing complex. Police say Ledesma was taken to the hospital to treat injuries from the crash. He is charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and weapons possession.
