Tough question
On June 9, 2017, I sent a letter to Congresswoman Bonnie Watson-Coleman and asked her a simple question, which basically required a yes or no answer. The question was: “Do you support term limits for elected members of Congress?”
Here we are nearly six months later and Congresswoman Watson-Coleman has yet to give a yes or no answer to the question about term limits. I thought my question to her was simple and could have been answered by mail, e-mail, or telephone within a day or two.
Apparently, my question to Congresswoman Watson-Coleman was not so simple. Could it be that she has to check with the Democrats, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in particular, before giving an answer?
I can only surmise that Congresswoman Watson-Coleman is against term limits. She wants to reap the benefits, and the salary, that comes with the privilege of being a member of Congress. However, if she continues to refuse to answer yes or no questions, the electorate will make up her mind for her.
— For Term Limits
I’m with you on the term limits. That’s going to be the only way we can get a government actually for the people, by the people. But as far as Watson-Coleman goes, what would your response me to a letter that just says, “Should you be fired from your job?”
