Pennington suffers its first loss in Blairstown

BLAIRSTOWN » Despite 16 points and four 3-point field goals from junior guard Diamond Christian, the Pennington School varsity girls basketball team could not keep pace with Blair Academy Tuesday, suffering its first loss, 64-51.

The Red Raiders also received 11 points from Leah Johnson and 10 more points from Carly Rice.

Both teams struck for eight 3-pointers in the game, which helped the home team keep the visitors from winning a quarter.

Sydney Brown led three Bucs in double figures with a game-high 18 points.
