Ernest Rogers Tarver of Ewing, NJ age 73 passed away December 6, 2017 at home.

He was born in Allentown,

NJ.

Ernest was educated in the Hamilton Township School District.

He was employed as a Labor Construction Worker for Labor Local Union #172 for over 35 years.

Ernest was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon May Tarver; parents Thelma and Ernest Tarver; a son Wade Tarver; sisters Martha Tarver and Betty Tarver; a brother Thomas Tarver; mother and father in-law Edna Mae and Augustus Kane Sr.; sistersin-law Frances Woodhull, Jackie McGee and Barbara Bright; brothers-in-law Augustus Kane Jr. and Roy Bright.

He is survived by his three daughters Darlene Tarver (Jon Howard), Sharon Allen (Raymond), Lisa Tarver (Melvin Patterson); two sons Ernest T. Tarver Jr. and James Tarver (Christina); sister Jennie Tarver; brothers Larry Tarver, John Tarver (Bernice), Edward Tarver and Gary Tarver (Pam); sister-in-law Dorothy Griffin; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 10am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
