There’s money to be made from Omarosa’s departure

- L.A. Parker Columnist

Omarosa Manigault Newman, an outspoken aide to President Donald Trump, has left the building which means the Commander-inChief needs a new African American to pal around with.

The former “Apprentice” television star made an interesting exit, especially with her insights voiced to Michael Strahan on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“There were a lot of things that I observed during the last year that I was very unhappy with, that I was very uncomfortable with,” Manigault Newman said.

(Perhaps she finally got a glimpse of her persona in the mirror or maybe she got tired of White House male staffers calling her Brown Sugar or The Help.)

“I’m not going to expand on it because I still have to go back and work with these individuals, but when I have a chance to tell my story, Michael, quite a story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people. And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear,” she said.

Translation? Y’all just wait until somebody offers Manigault Newman a book deal and a reality television show.

This is going to get interesting...Scratch that. This is going to get even more interesting as President Trump enters a second year following a tumultuous inaugural White House stay.

Manigault Newman cultivated derisive laughter regarding her “my community and my people” insight. Disbelievers about her status in black America households will disagree with any perception that Manigault Newman had a significant role with “(her) people.”

Manigault Newman earned her stripes as a femme fatale on Trump’s “The Apprentice” series. Given free reign in production of her own post-White House experience could earn her more money than what’s being collected by all of Trump’s offspring. Chaching.

The White House lists Manigault Newman’s final day as Jan. 20, 2018 and while Trump tweeted niceties and wished good luck for his lone black female appointee, one wonders how he will respond when this woman starts spilling her guts.

Reports have been contradictory regarding Manigault Newman’s departure. One says she left quietly while another noted that White House security forcibly removed her from the premises as she kicked and screamed obscenities.

Whether Manigault Newman resigned or received a pink slip will not matter after her final official day of White House employment.

People will listen. People will pay. There’s money to be made.
