Gov. DiFrancesco
It’s not enough that New Jersey’s former 11-month governor, Donald DiFrancesco, will step down as the chairman of the University Hospital in Newark. His action in appointing a “friend” to a six-figure, “no-show” or “lowshow,” job is disgusting and is just another example of how politicians operate to benefit themselves, and their friends.
DiFrancesco should be made to repay the hospital for the $500,000+ that it cost for his ineptitude in allowing a “friend” to be put on the payroll for a “no-show”/“lowshow” job. It’s bad enough that the University Hospital in Newark is in a financial bind. As chairman, DiFrancesco should have known about the hospital’s weak finances, and he had no business rewarding a “friend” with a plum job.
The trustees of the hospital should do the right thing by instituting legal action against DiFrancesco for his actions in contributing to the hospital’s struggling finances. If he is hit hard in the wallet, either by a court of law or through an outof-court settlement, it may serve as a lesson to politicians not to abuse their power and think that they can do, and get away with, whatever they want to do.

Politicians helping their buddies isn’t new, but it needs to be ended. This corruption is too much. — Ed Note Tax bill I just called Chris Smith, and I told him and no uncertain terms if he votes for this tax bill. He will never again get my vote nor will the other republican politicians in this state. They will not get elected again in the near future. This tax bill is strictly for the wealthy and against the middle class. I am changing my opinion of Trump completely. Only one third of the population is for this bill. Vote no.

Tax reform sounds so good until you see the details of who is benefitting from the reforms.
