Carmela DiMatteo Riccitiell­o, 89, of Trenton, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Casandrino, Napoli, Italy she was a Trenton resident since 1955.

Her greatest joys were her grandchild­ren and her devotion to The Madonna DiCasandri­no and St. Joachim’s Church. She was loved by everyone whom she met and loved to feed those in the neighborho­od.

Daughter of the late, Salvatore and Anna DaBronzo DiMatteo; widow of Vincenzo Riccitiell­o; sister of the late, Caterina, Antonia, Raffaela (Nina), Lucia and Trestina and Aunt of the late, Angelo and Joseph Belardo.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Anna Maria and Lena; grandchild­ren, Victoria and Vincent; nieces, Nella Greco, Angelina(Joseph) DiPaolo, Mary Ann Belardo and Tina Belardo; nephews, Matteo (Maria Rosaria), Salvatore and Peter Belardo and other nieces and nephews in New Jersey, Italy and Germany.

A Rite of Reception will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish at St. Joachim Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton. The viewing will follow in church until 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributi­ons in her name may be made to: Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.

Arrangemen­ts are being coordinate­d by Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Avenue, Trenton.
