Carmela Ciliento of Hamilton
Carmela “Puzzy” Ciliento, 85, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Sunday, December
17, 2017 at home in Hamilton, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident.
Mrs. Ciliento was formerly employed with the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs, for 25 years prior to her retirement.
Puzzy, as she was affectionately known, was very active in Evergreen Adult Community, the former Baron A A Ladies Auxiliary, and a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards with her friends, trips to Atlantic City, and participating in water aerobics, strength training and knit and stitch, but her greatest enjoyment, was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Mary (Tomasulo) Parvesse, her loving husband of fifty six years, Frank Ciliento,her siblings, Marie Braunstein and Nicholas Parvesse and her brother-in-law, Frank Braunstein, she is survived by her daughters, Linda Perilli and husband Bill, Maria Petroni and husband Bob and Michele Symcak and husband Greg; one sister, Phyllis Kellerman and husband Dave; six grandchildren, Bill and wife Kristin, Christine and husband Jeff, Michael and wife Laura, Joey, Bobby and Nicky; seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Jeffrey, Christian, Julianna, Ryan, Vincent and Gianna; her special cousin Tina Zapicchi; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held 8:30 am on Friday, December 22 from D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Friday at St. Anthony Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 21 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
