The victim told police he was waiting outside a liquor store when a man — later identified as Hayes — asked to borrow a quarter. Hayes then fled, and investigators later issued warrants for his arrest.

Idling Pot: Brandon Briggs, 28, was arrested after he allegedly left marijuana inside an idling unattended vehicle, which police searched after removing the keys from the ignition. Officials say cops saw an unoccupied car idling on Hoffman Avenue, so they stopped to investigate. Briggs approached the cops a few moments later, according to officials who say his driver’s license was suspended. Further investigation revealed a sandwich bag of pot.
