Chris, oh, Chris
Lame duck & bully Governor Chris Christie needs to go before next month’s inauguration of Governor-elect Phil Murphy, and his “My way or the highway” and “The public be damned” demeanor needs to go with him! It’s totally disgusting the way Christie & his minions are trying to push the Trenton state office building project down the throats of the public by ignoring the state constitution, which requires voter approval.
Kudos to Assemblymen John Wisniewski and Reed Gusciora for speaking out and warning their Assembly colleagues that Christie’s actions are in violation of the state constitution. Kudos, too, to the parties who have filed a lawsuit to halt the state office building project from going forward. The right thing to do is to let the incoming governor and his administration review the plan, and also allow the residents of Ewing Township to express their views on the proposed juvenile jail, which will be placed in Ewing.
Christie’s actions highlight why his approval rating has ebbed to near record low levels. The same can be said about the public’s trust in politicians from both sides of the aisle. Term limits cannot come fast enough!

I’m with you on most of this, but Christie is out because of term limits. There isn’t much of a chance of them coming for other offices though — Ed Note
