Governor Phil Murphy starts strong at Trenton’s Shiloh Baptist Church

Sounds like the beginning for a good joke, however this really happened.
And the rabbi? African-American and female.

An inaugural multi-faith prayer service in honor of Gov. Phil Murphy and Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver included several performances by the Shiloh Baptist Church Choir.
Even the choir sent a message of unity as members from other city-based churches joined Shiloh Baptist Choir to deliver inspiration and awe.
Shiloh Baptist Rev. Dr. Darrell Armstrong promised Murphy that the choir would deliver heavenly music.
This choir offered a formula for success as voices, singing in one accord and with instruction from a director, made a joyful noise that spell bounded listeners.
This choir displayed a solution as each individual contributed their best effort.
Imagine if such action could materialize any place where people feel disenfranchised, disappointed and demoralized.
We need more choirs in our communities, individuals who understand their power, willing to connect their gift with others all for the greater good.
