Marie DeFilipps Melchiondo of West Trenton

Marie DeFilipps Melchiondo, 96, of West Trenton, passed away peacefully in her home of over 60 years on Monday, January 15, 2018.

Born in Trenton, NJ on December 9, 1921, she was a Trenton area resident all her life. Marie attended Trenton Central High School. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in West Trenton. Marie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter of the late Sam and Julia DeFilipps; wife of the late Michael Melchiondo; sister of the late Dolores Furman and Fred DeFilipps; she is survived by 5 adoring children Michael and Lavina Melchiondo of Venice, FL, Dianne Stout of Lawrenceville, NJ, Lawrence and Janice Melchiondo of Newtown, PA, Marie and Steven Harrison of Yardley, PA and Mark Melchiondo and Corinna Tini of New Hope, PA; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2018 morning at 11AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 137 W Upper Ferry Road‚ W, Trenton, N.J. 08628.

Interment will be held privately.

Relatives and friends can call on Friday morning from 10-11AM at the church.
