Loretha B. Johnson of Trenton

Loretha B. Johnson, 100, of Trenton, departed this life on January 14, 2018 in Hamilton, NJ.

Born in Charleston, SC, Loretha moved to New Jersey when she was young. She was educated in New Brunswick Public Schools and worked for both North Princeton Developmental Center and Young’s Rubber Corp. Loretha retired from the latter after 25 years of service.

She was a member of Mitchell Davis Post 182 Auxiliary.

Loretha was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she worshipped for over 50 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, James R. and Alice Belle; husband, Sgt. Leon Johnson; son, George Bernard Clark; daughter, Joan Y. Hill; five sisters, Alma, Sarah, Maryann, Lannie, and Carrie; two brothers, James and Henrey; and a very dear friend, Fannie Lindsey.

Loretha leaves to mourn and cherish precious memories her 11 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 45 great great grandchildren; two godchildren, Terence and Bonnie Lindsey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Perry Street, Trenton, NJ.

Interment will be in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held from 9 to 11 am at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
