Westampton
Fatal Hit-and-Run: John Farino, 60, of Cinnaminson, died early Sunday after his car was rear-ended by a tractortrailer on I-295. Officials say Farino was travelling northbound around 5:15 a.m. when a tractor-trailer hit the rear of his Dodge Caravan, causing him swerve off the road, hit a tree and overturn. Farino was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer fled with the vehicle. The tractor-trailer is believed to be an older model Peterbilt, which has an elongated front with significant front-end damage. Anyone with information about the accident or the location of the tractor-trailer is asked to contact police at 609-298-1171. Anonymous tips are welcome.
Trenton
Shooting: An 18-year-old female was shot in the hand Sunday morning. The victim arrived at the hospital by private means around 10 a.m. and told police she was in the 100 block of Rossell Avenue when a vehicle drove through the area and two males fired from the car. The victim’s injuries are considered non-lifethreatening.
Heroin, Crack and Pot: Brad Henderson, 49, was arrested Saturday afternoon when police interrupted an alleged drug deal. Officials say Henderson dropped drugs on the ground when he saw detectives from the Street Crimes Unit patrolling in the area of South Broad and Malone streets. During the investigation, police confiscated 80 decks of heroin, 30 grams of marijuana and five grams of crack cocaine. Henderson was also wanted in connection with outstanding warrants. Weed Bust: Nazaire Bethea, 19, was arrested Saturday night by detectives from the Street Crimes Unit who allegedly found him in possession of marijuana. Bethea ran when he saw cops on Poplar Street, so he was also charged with resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law.
Butt Shot Arrest: Eedonn Brown, 18, was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened earlier this month. Officials say Brown shot a 39-year-old man in the butt around 3 p.m. on January 12 near the intersection of Jersey Street and Home Avenue. Brown is charged with attempted murder and related weapons offenses.
Cracked Out: Louis Padin, 51, and Brian Coleman 43, were recently nabbed doing a drug deal near Hamilton Avenue and Hudson Street. They were found with crack cocaine, cops said. Passed Out: James MacMillan, 48, was recently taken to the hospital after cops found him around 1 p.m. passed out behind the wheel of his car at the intersection of South Broad and Market streets. Cops said he was drunk. He was later charged with driving under the influence.
Pot Bust: Shaheed Little, 40, was recently arrested on marijuana charges after cops found him with pot following a car stop. He was removed from the vehicle and that’s when police officers found the ganja.
Liar, Liar: Keon Jefferson, 34, was recently charged with hindering after he gave cops a fake name when they stopped him for a warrant around 1 a.m. near Greenwood Avenue and Chambers Street, cops said.
Run and Gun: Dijon Signal, 18, was recently charged by Street Crimes detectives with drug offenses after they caught him in the first block of Poplar Street allegedly doing a drug deal. Cops tried to stop him to investigate but he bolted and was caught after a short foot chase. After being apprehended, cops found Signal with a loaded .22-caliber handgun and pot. He was hit with those charges as well as resisting and obstructing for running from the boys in blue, cops said.
Bristol, Pa.
Liquor Theft: A man stole six bottles of liquor from a store located in the 500 block of South Oxford Valley Road. The loss is estimated at $140.
