Elder Emmie Smith, 83 of Hamilton departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Edgefield, SC, Elder Smith was a graduate of Johnston High School in Johnston, SC.

She was employed by EMR as a Line Assembler and retired from the Trane Company as a Line Assembler after many years of dedicated service.

She was an Assistant Pastor at Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Apostolic Faith Church 717 N. Clinton Ave Trenton, NJ. She also served on the Usher Board, Missionary Board and was Superinten­dent of the Sunday School.

Elder Smith is predecease­d by her husband, Arthur Smith, her parents, Simon and Leona Williams; brothers, Simon, Jr., Johnny Clarence, Cleveland, James E. and Bobby Williams and a sister, Mary E. Williams surviving are a son, James A. Smith; 2 daughters, Loretta Smith and Carolyn D. Daniels; grandchild­ren, Brian Smith (Dawn), Yolanda Saines (Paris), Atyia Smith, Alex Godbolt; Shaina Daniels and Aliyah Godbolt; 6 great grandchild­ren; a brother, John R. Williams; 3 sisters, Fairybell Pixley; Dorothy R. Huckaby and Cherylann Butler (David); 2 sisters-in-law, Sarah and Brenda Williams; an aunt, Valera Daniels of Aiken, SC; 2 Godsons, Elder Clarence Smalls and John Pullen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00am at Samaritan Baptist Church 531 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd Trenton, NJ 08618.

Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 9am to 11am at the church.

Arrangemen­ts are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
