JOHNSON LEADS RIDER OVER IONA

Lawrenceville >> Stella Johnson posted 17 points and 10 assists to carry the Rider women’s basketball team to an 80-53 victory over Iona on Sunday afternoon.

The Broncs (11-14, 8-6) have won two in a row and sit in fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They make the Western N.Y. trip next weekend to face Canisius and Niagara.

Johnson’s huge afternoon also included seven rebounds and six steals.

Kamila Hoskova added 17 points, Jaiden Morris netted 14 and Lexi Stover finished with 12 to give Rider four players in double figures.
