Trenton

Domestic Violence: Isaiah Key, 30, was charged with aggravated assault stemming from a domestic spat Feb. 9 on the 200 block of Academy Street where officers talked to woman who told them she and Key argued about her cell phone usage. Cops say he punched the woman in the face and busted her lip. Grabbing her by the neck, he began strangling her then fled the home with the victim’s phone. The woman refused medical treatment. A warrant was issued for Key, who was picked up this week after being transporte­d from the Burlington County jail. Drugs and Cash: Ronald Flores-Lind, 47, and Javier Baez, 53, were nabbed together on drug distributi­on offenses after cops say they investigat­ed a report of a suspicious person. Detectives from the violent crime unit were in the area when they found the duo with dope. Police recovered 28 decks of heroin and $459 in cash, seized as suspected drug proceeds. Both were hit with possession with intent to sell and were within 500 feet of a park.

Move Your Cars: Trenton Police are urging residents to ensure vehicles are parked in designated spots as another winter storm batters the capital city. Up to 11 is expected in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Cops said several vehicles were towed in previous storms to make may for snowplows to clear clogged city streets. Police are reminding residents not to park on major roadways. Residents can park in the listed school parking lots throughout the storm. The city will notify residents when to move their vehicles from public school parking lots in robocalls. All vehicles should be moved from the school lots by 3 a.m. Thursday. Owners of vehicles left in public school parking past the deadline will be towed.

DUI: Jesse E. Lovett, 28, of Maple Shade, was charged with possession of marijuana and DWI during a motor vehicle stop on Federal City Road.

Pot and Alcohol: Jesse E. Lovett, 28, of Maple Shade, was charged with possession of marijuana and DWI during a motor vehicle stop on Parkside Avenue.

Drive Sober: Fred J. Scott, 32, of Trenton, was charged with DWI during a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Street.

Fake Name: Hector Gomez, 28, of Paterson, was charged for driving with a suspended license, hindering apprehensi­on and obstructin­g the administra­tion of law after he was found to have warrants and provided a false name to police. He was stopped on Bear Tavern Road.

More DUI: Robert Johnson, 51, of Ewing, was charged with DWI during a motor vehicle stop on Parkside Avenue. Steal It Yourself: Gregory Feldenzer, 48, of Titusville, allegeldy went from being a handyman to a handsy man with the home-improvemen­t goods. He was arrested and charged with shopliftin­g $259 of merchandis­e from the Home Depot on the 1600 block of Olden Avenue.

New Brunswick

Killer Convicted: Again: A South Brunswick man was found guilty at his retrial of killing his parents inside their township home in October 2008, prosecutor­s said. Michael A. Maltese, 29, was retried after his conviction­s were overturned more than two years ago. He was found guilty of passion provocatio­n manslaught­er for strangling his parents, Michael, 58, and Kathleen, 53, inside their Maple Street home in the Monmouth Junction Mobile Home Park. The younger Maltese got in it with his dad then turned on his mother, prosecutor­s said. They presented evidence at the retrial that Maltese killed his parents and buried them in a shallow grave in Beech Woods Park. He faces up to 20 years when he’s sentenced May 25. Whatever he gets, he’ll have to serve 85 percent of it under the state’s No Early Release Act. Maltese was previously found guilty of strangling his parents in November 2010, but his conviction was overturned in August 2015 by the state’s higest court, which upehld other conviction­s for hindering prosecutio­n, theft, fraudulent use of credit card, evidence tampering, false swearing and desecratio­n of bodies.
