Betty S. Younger of Trenton

Betty S. Younger, 68, of Trenton, New Jersey entered into the presence of the Lord with the knowledge that He was calling her home, Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.

Born in Raleigh, NC Betty lived in Trenton most of her life. She was a LPN, and began her nursing career at Mercer Hospital. Betty also worked as a nurse at Henry J Austin Health Center and Bayada Private Nursing Care.

Betty was a faithful member of the New Salem Baptist Church where she served as Deaconess, Choir Member, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary. Additionally, Betty was also a valued and cherished member of the New Salem Baptist Church Health Ministry, and served as the Unity Day Chair Person on several occasions.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Maudimon and Pearlie Robinson Sr., son Carey “Bam” Younger, Jr., and siblings Charles E. Robinson and Maudimon “Jackie” Robinson, Jr., and a special Brother-in-Law Charles Jones.

Betty’s memory will be cherished and celebrated by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Carey L. Younger, Sr., her son Jordan C. Younger (Asha); Grandson Rashaad Younger; Siblings Billy Gene Robinson (Denise), Harold Robinson, Curtis Donnell Robinson (Peggy), Constance Faye Kenney (Harry), Linda Jones; Brotherin-Law Alonzo Younger (Linda); Sister-in-Laws JoAnn Younger-Ray (James) and Mona Johnson (Larry); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Betty’s life is known for its fullness of love, giving and spirituality. She loved unconditionally, gave willingly, and worshipped God joyously. Her goodness shall live on forever.

Homegoing service will be 12pm, Friday, March 23, 2018 at the New Salem Baptist Church 316 Union St. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 10am until time of service at the church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
