Overnight Shooting: Cops responded to a shooting Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. on the 200 block of Brunswick Avenue. When they got there, however, the victim had already jetted and they didn’t find evidence of a shooting. Not long after, they were alerted that the victim, a 31-year-old man, had shown up at St. Francis Medical Center suffering from a single gunshot wound to his right wrist. The victim drove himself to the hospital after he told cops a black man in a ski mask rolled up on him while he was in his car at the intersection of Brunswick Avenue and Middle Rose Street and opened fire on him. The suspect was described as a black man with a thin build. He was wearing a darkcolored hooded sweatshirt and had his face obscured by a mask, not allowing the victim to get a good look at his face. Cops are still looking into what motivated the shooting. The Shooting Response Team is in charge of the probe.

Bottle Beatdown: Cynthia Bing, 53, was arrested and charged with aggravated assult after cops said she struck a man in the face with a bottle at an apartment

on the 300 block of South Broad Street. It happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Bing and the 44-year-old man had been argued over money when things turned violent. Bing used a bottle to bust the man’s lip, chipping two of his teeth in the process. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and treated. Cops didn’t say how much of a debt the two were fighting over or the man’s association to Bing. Drugs: Nasir White, 21, was arrested and charged after members of the street crime unit rolled up on him on the 900 block of Southard Street. Cops smelled marijuana coming from White who was found with some pot, a couple Percocet pills and promethazine, a strong sedative sometimes used on the streets.

More drugs: Eric Laster, 42, was arrested and charged after cops got a tip about someone dealing drugs on the first block of Hampton Avenue. Police set up an operation after getting information, possibly from a confidential informant. Violent crimes detectives saw Laster do several hand-to-hand drug deals. Laster was hit with obstruction and resisting charges after he led cops on a foot pursuit. He was finally nabbed, and police determined he also had warrants out for his arrest. Still more drugs: Cecil Blake, 30, was hit with a number of drug charges following an investigation Wednesday that culminated in his arrest. Cops responded to the 300 block of Third Street for reports of a man selling a large amount of cocaine. Detectives set up an operation during which they pulled over a vehicle. Blake was found with 105 grams of cocaine and $257 in cash. The money was not seized, cops said, because of a recent edict from county prosecutors instructing cops not to take cash amounts less than $300 as part of the civil forfeiture process.

No One Listened: Despite warning residents about to make sure their cars weren’t blocking major highways ahead of the snowstorm, cops towed 288 cars beginning Wednesday afternoon. A spokesman for the department said that “was a pretty significant amount” but couldn’t say whether it was an overnight record. Apparently no one heeded police’s advice to ensure their vehicles were parked in designated school lots and moved from those lots by 3 a.m.

Hopewell Township

Heroin: Cops checked a suspicious vehicle near Route 31 and Route 654 and spoke to a passenger, Blaire R. Harvey, 27, of Burlington. She was found in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and had a warrant out of her arrest from Lawrence Township for $800. She was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, processed and released after posting bail on drug charges.
