Presidential distractions
Flashback: On March 9, 2012, President Obama called Russian Presidentelect and Prime Minister Putin to congratulate him on his recent victory in the Russian Presidential election. That announcement, from the Obama White House back then produced NONE of the outrage and fury that greeted President Trump’s similar announcement on Tuesday. Dr. Ed Note, would you agree that we, as Americans, currently have much more urgent, critical, and serious problems to cover and address like lack of economic opportunity and inequality, unemployment, poverty, and drug abuse/addiction, just to name a few. News Flash: NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY cares about Stormy Daniels, or any of the other nonsense the media is so obsessed with covering for endless hours each every day that basically amounts to nothing!. And they wonder why so many people are so sick of all this garbage on the news! But then again, what the hell do I know?

First: LOL @ Dr. Ed Note. Second: Really the big difference here is that Trump is actively denying his bromance with Putin, then calls him up to chat about winning his sham election. Third: You’re right. We have more important stuff to worry about, but a short attention span, so the latest shiny object or scandal grabs headlines. I think we’re getting played by Trump because he tweets about the nonsense and we all (media and readers/viewers) obsess over it while important issues go unaddressed. — Ed Note
