OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR — KYLE MANDLEUR (HUN) » Mandleur was a scoring machine as he netted 44 goals and added 23 assists. He led the county in scoring and his play was instrumental in the Raiders winning an unprecedented fifth straight MCT trophy. DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR — CHIP HAMLETT (PRINCETON DAY) » It was the defense that set the tempo for the Panthers this season and the anchor of that back line was Hamlett. COACH OF THE YEAR — SCOTT BERTOLI (PRINCETON DAY) » It was a unique group of seniors and underclassmen that Bertoli molded into the best prep team in the area. The Panthers won the round robin with Lawrenceville and Hun and reached the final of the MAHL.
MATT ARGENTINA (HUN) » Just a freshman, Argentina broke on the scene and the Notre Dame recruit didn’t disappoint. He has a great sense of where his teammates are on the ice and he has an extremely high skill level. Argentina tallied 17 goals and dished out 31 assists.
LOGAN HARRIS (PENNINGTON) » Just a steady performer, Harris led the Red Raiders in scoring with 19 goals and added 13 assists. A strong player who has a knack for finding the back of the net, he was a leader on and off the ice at Pennington.
RYAN LISK (PRINCETON DAY) » Lisk grew up in the PDS program and every year the skill level and the savvy he brought to the ice improved. He capped off his senior season with 11 goals and 12 assists and it seemed if the Panthers needed a big play he’d find a way to get the job done.
RUSSELL FRIEDMAN (PRINCETON DAY) » A very dependable
AIDAN MCDOWELL (HUN) »
A junior, McDowell burst on the scene for the Raiders and played with a reckless abandon that help solidify things for them on special teams and the back line. McDowell added some offense with eight goals and 16 assists.
KAZ MATSUO (LAWRENCEVILLE) » It was a young Lawrenceville team and this sophomore made his mark as a strong player who is going
to grow as this team does. A tough defender and a player who is not going to back down, he makes the future bright for the Big Red.
BILL BERNAL (PENNINGTON) » The freshman stepped in and set the tempo for the Red Raiders with his play and the way he handled tough situations. Goalies must have a short memory and Bernal always responded well and accepted the task at hand and he was a key to the Red Raiders’ success.
