Home Invasion: Cops are investigating a home invasion that happened Sunday night. Patrol units responded to East Paul Avenue for a reported shooting. A man told cops he bought pot from someone, and while he walked home, he got jacked by four masked men. One of the suspects had a handgun and demanded money. The victim fought back and ran away as the suspects chased him. He heard shots fired. As the victim hid across the street, he saw the suspects break into his home and steal a “large amount” of cash. Cops wouldn’t say how much for investigative purposes. The suspects are described as four black men wearing dark clothing, about 18 to 25 years old, wearing masks. High-Speed Chase: Earl T. Jones Jr., 23, was hit with a litany of charges including eluding and resisting arrest after he led cops on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Cops doing an investigation on the 200 block of Spring Street noticed Jones speeding on a motorcycle as they watched him go around several vehicles and blow through a red light on Calhoun Street. Cops sent out an alert for Jones and later spotted the same man on the motorcycle. They tried to stop him when Jones looked back at the boys in blue but refused to pull over. Detectives pursued him off Route 29 as he proceeded onto I-95 northbound. He lost control of the bike at the divide on Route 1 and was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and released into cops’ custody.

Family Threats: Kenneth James Klegg, 26, was charged with terroristic threats following an argument with his sister Sunday night at a home on the 100 block of Coolidge Avenue. The woman told cops she argued with Klegg who told her he was going to get a gun and she better not be at the home when he got back. Klegg left the home before cops arrived. Officers got called back when Klegg arrived back at the home. He was arrested and charged. Crazy Kicks: Stacy Bulgin, 31, was hit with charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting following a spat with cops Sunday afternoon. Cops were called out to Hillcrest Avenue for a disturbance. A woman told cops Bulgin was walking down the street and kicked a truck. Cops got a description of Bulgin and found her down the street. She was ordered to stop but continued walking and cussing out officers. She hit one of the officers in the neck when cops tried to take her into custody. She also kicked another officer in the hand while they put her into the cruiser. She was searched and found to have a small tube used for crack cocaine. Burglars: Justice Chambers, 18, Darnell Cathey Jr., 28, Antwan Smith, 18, and 17-year-old male were all arrested and charged with burglary after cops responded to the 500 block of Lamberton Street. Once they got there, the suspects were checking doors and told the occupants of a home to open up when they refused to come out and started running through the house. Cops saw the suspects fleeing through a window and jumping over fences. Chambers was apprehended after a short foot pursuit while the three others gave up and surrendered to cops without incident. They had got into the home while the owner was out and damaged a storm door during the burglary.
