George Trevena Sr. of Kingston

George Trevena, Sr. of Kingston passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Princeton Medical Center. He was 84 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ; He resided in Lakewood before moving to Kingston 35 years ago.

Mr. Trevena was employed as a Transportation Supervisor with Trap Rock Industries, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed spending many hours over the years working on and restoring antique cars and trucks.

Mr. Trevena was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Janice Trevena who passed away in 2013; five sisters Suzanne Klemm, Edna Toth, Malvina Springsteel, Evelyn Kurta, and Dorothy Peterson; a brother Frank Trevena.

He is survived by five daughters, Carol Walker of Florida, Nancy Royle of Jackson, Janet Mohr of Kingston, Shirley Collins of Florida and Georgette Trevena of Kingston; a son, George A. Trevena, Jr., of Skillman; a sister Martha Psota of Perth Amboy; a brother Willard Trevena of Toms River; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.

A Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2018 8:30 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costellokoyen.com), 399 Avenel St., Avenel, NJ 07001. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
