Larry D. Davis Sr.

On Tuesday April 17th in McDonogh, Georgia, Mr. Larry D. Davis Sr. was called to rest in the loving arms of God after an extended illness.

Born September 5, 1955 to the late Willie Lee Davis

Sr. and Julia E. Davis in Trenton, New Jersey. Graduating from Trenton Central High School in 1973 he excelled in basketball and academic pursuits. Larry graduated in 1979 from Howard University with a Master’s degree in social work. He was the Executive Director of Urban Alternative Solutions LLC.

Larry accepted Christ as his Savior at El Bethel Baptist Church of Trenton, New Jersey and served as a faithful member at True Servant Worship and Praise Center before he and his wife relocated to Georgia. In Georgia they attend Tabernacle of Praise.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Michelle L. Davis; his mother Julia E. Davis; his siblings Joe L. (Gwen) Davis, Willie L. Davis Jr. and a sister-in-law Tanya Thompson; all of Trenton, NJ; his son Larry (Faith) D. Davis Jr. of Raleigh, NC; daughter Aneisha (Corey) E. Nolen of Huntsville, AL. His grandchildren who will mourn their grandfather are Timothy, Cenayah and Aleah Nolen of Huntsville; Zoe and Lauren Davis of Raleigh, a special “Big Ma” Martha Richards, a special Aunt Maxine Foxworth of Farrell, PA; a special Uncle, George Richards of Griffith, IL; nieces, nephews, and Stephanie and Joe Davis Jr., Jamaal and Tearanee Thompson of Trenton, brotherin-law Dane Thompson of Pittsburgh, PA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at True Servant Church 2630 S. Broad St. Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Fountain Lawn Memorial Park Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
