-

On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, is Election Day in Trenton. Much is at stake for working families as voters elect the next mayor and city council.

“Marge Caldwell-Wilson, our union sister and former President of CWA 1037, is running for Trenton North Ward Council and is the union choice, recommended by the New Jersey State AFLCIO,” said President, Charlie Wowkanech.

“Local government decisions directly affect us. Whether it’s property taxes, emergency services, street maintenance, job creation and retention, or recreation for our families, Marge has the experience and values we can trust,” added Wowkanech.

“Marge shares our values and will always place the interests of working families first,” said Secretary-Treasurer, Laurel Brennan.

Brennan said, “Marge is tired of paying the highest property taxes in the nation therefore she will work hard to ensure that we get the most from our tax dollars for Trenton’s working families. She knows our future depends on the quality of our schools. Marge cares about the needs of our communities’ senior citizens.”

“Let’s elect a leader who will put working families first. At the same time, let’s bring common sense experience, and working families’ values to Trenton’s government. Marge will be there for you,” said President Wowkanech.

“Let’s be there for Marge on Tuesday, May 8th,” said Brennan.

The New Jersey State AFL-CIO also endorsed Jerell Blakeley.
