Another successful Dreamlift

-

Once again Sunshine Foundation’s Operation Dreamlift was a major success. It never ceases to amaze me how this community comes together to make the dream and wish of going to Disney become a reality for our chronically and terminally ill and handicapped children. From the early morning till the late evening, the commitment to the special kids is unsurpassed.

To all the Fire, Law Enforcement, EMT, and Civic Groups who played a part in this great day, MANY THANKS. To our host the State Police, the National Guard Facility in West Trenton, under the direction of Superintendent Patrick J. Callahan, THANKS for the use of your facility. Many special thanks to the County of Mercer, Ewing Twp, and all their employees who took part in this wonderful day. To all the elected officials who took the time out of their busy schedules to wish the kids a safe trip we say THANKS. To the media who helped raise awareness of our mission I say THANKS. For our spiritual blessing given by Deacon Guido Mattozi representing Our Lady of the Angels parish, we are grateful for your prayers and support and we say THANKS.

I would be remiss not to thank the many dedicated volunteers of the Sunshine Foundation who work tirelessly year round to raise money and give of themselves in countless ways I say THANKS. You are the heart and soul who make my job a lot easier.

To my Co-Chair of Operation Dreamlift, Dave Burns II, I am grateful for all your hard work and I shout THANKS to you.

Last but certainly not least Thanks to the many children who joined us on our journey to Disneyland on Operation Dreamlift.

Your smiling faces and twinkle in your eyes made it all worthwhile — Catherine DiCostanzo, President, Sunshine Foundation or Mercer County
